Generic
Capabilities
C-Cut is designed with the flexibility and the management
tools to allow the user to adapt the output to his own needs. This
decreases the user dependence on the software provider, as the customer
can implement his modifications to the output.
C-Cut has a generic Post, where the user can create
a new Post or modify an existing one. This can be done to the details
of assigning different leads to the outside of the parts, different
leads to the inner cuts and different leads to small round holes.
For each of the above, the user can assign different feedrates for
the leads and for the cuts, depending on the material and thickness
combinations. For the small holes the user can assign different
feedrates and kerf values to the different radii, also depending
on material and thickness. This can also be done, for example, when
working with two plasmas, where each is assigned its own tasks.
All this flexibility is achieved because almost all
the attributes in C-Cut are parametric and can be assigned with
values and tables. This allows the user to adapt the C-Cut output
to modifications in hardware and methods. With the setting modified
it all runs automatically. The higher the user goes in C-Cut levels,
the more control he gets to adapt the output to his needs.
In the same manner the user can generate his reports
for weight and cost calculations, and modify them whenever he decides
to so. C-Cut also includes Tutors that walk the user, with explanations,
through the different functions, including the above functions.
New
Versions
The Software maintenance and Support service
entitles the user to new versions of the software in the time frame
of the agreement. There is a new version of C-CUT every 8 to 12
months. The user will be able to download new version from our web
site or get a CD via regular mail.
New
Builds
New builds, or updates, include corrections
to problems that were reported by customers. New builds, or updates,
also include new features and enhancements that were requested by
customers. The release of new Builds depends on the frequency of
the problems reported and the enhancements requested. Builds have
been released on an average of about once a week, but some of them
may not apply to all customers, like enhancements in Bevel Cutting.
Our site lists the enhancements and the customer can request an
update, if covered by the Maintenance and Support Service. Builds
may also include modifications in the dongle (Software protection
plug) driver to allow for running the software on newer Windows
operating systems, like 2000 and XP.
On Going Support
A customer that is under maintenance and support
service can contact C-Cut by phone, by fax or by e-mail for technical
support, problem report or suggestions for improvements. Response
to user inquiries or requests will take place within 24 hours.
